Claire (Right) and a friend tonight as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb. No one would admit to Tweedle Dumb as they did not want to risk being called 'dumb.'  Posted by Picasa

Olivia in her Halloween Costume. She gave out candy at the door and loved it. I asked her to pose as Bat Girl and she did a great job. Posted by Picasa

Super fun with Chinese Scholars at Lena Free Church in Lena Illinois

We just had a great time with the scholars, their families and members of the church. Oct 13 - 15 we stretched the weekend a full weekend instead of our 24 hour visit. Hosts and scholars alike requested more time.

There is such a bond growing between the church and the students with many natural conversations about Jesus.

Enjoy the photos!

Snow and UW Madison - it's weight

Hard to believe that we got our first snow last night. It was a light dusting and probably won't stay (but it is Noon and still here). Winter is upon us. One more week and then November.

UW Madison - Legal issue. This continues to be a great weight to me. Someone I have found myself right in the middle of this whole situation. Not that I sought it, but God handed it to me and asked me to pick up it. And I have. Currently, the University Student Org office is sending out a canned (same to everyone) email asking groups very particular questions about who they are and what they do. As far as I can tell, only Christian groups have been recieving these emails. The student org office has assured me that they are doing this now as a matter of routine. But there are 715 student organization groups on campus. Are they doing this to all.

So groups are responding. On Wed, Nov 22 @ 1PM, there will be a primilary injunction hearing in Madison representing the UW - Superior Law suit that has been filed.

UW is represented by the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Your prayers are deeply desired.

Law School Retreat last Saturday

We have a great time getting away from the Law school and relaxing. It was just one half a day on Saturday. Have for hard working Law students to do more.

We focused on what it means to be called.

Here is what Matt said :

I basically learned that I am called to be Christ-like. Often people
say "I was called to be an attorney." That is a fine biblical use of
the word calling if they mean "God called me to serve as an
attorney." Of course, that was only my take on the lesson, the other
people there may have interpreted the lesson differently.

Our little group at the retreat. Small but mighty. Posted by Picasa

Fun at the camp. Brenda loves the trampoline. She said that she could feel the stress of school leave her on Saturday. Posted by Picasa

Med School retreat

It was so much fun. The weather was beautiful last weekend. We had a lesser number of students this time around. The call of the next test bite off a few.

We were at the cabin of the Med school dean, Dr. McBride, a very committed believer.

It is such a great time to get away and be with God.
